Simply explained
We empirically test images to ensure you get the very best images. We use the website Photofeeler.com for this.
After the photoshoot, tinderfotograf.no selects the photos for testing.
We do this because we think we know better which images are going to do well for dating. We have tested thousands of images, so we have a very good idea of what works and what doesn't. If the client wants to choose the images for testing themselves, or doesn't want the images tested, they must let us know before the photoshoot via email to chrisblonk.foto@gmail.com, and we will arrange it.
Is Photofeeler reliable as a testing tool?
We have tested the same image with small variations several times on Photofeeler to check if the platform has high test-retest reliability. We have high confidence that the platform tests the images on an audience of real people, and that the test-retest reliability is very high. We also have high confidence that the test results correlate with success on dating apps. That is why we use Photofeeler.
Doesn't it cost money to test on Photofeeler?
It's possible to have your photos evaluated for free on Photofeeler. However, this takes too long for our purposes, so we pay to have the photos tested there. This cost is included in our photo packages so that customers get it as a free bonus.
Can I see the test results?
No, we always ask you first by email if you want to see the test results. It is optional whether you want to see them. Some people find it uncomfortable to see how others rate how attractive they look, and we fully understand that many would be prefer to be unaware of how they rank on average.
Can people that I know see photos of me on Photofeeler?
When the images are tested on Photofeeler, the image is only visible to the few people who are logged in to rate it. Your image will not be searchable on Google, and once the testing is complete, the image is invisible to everyone else. Most users of Photofeeler come from the following countries according to Similarweb:
United States (23%)
England (12%)
France (10%)
Netherlands (7%)
Germany (5%)
We believe that people in these countries reflect roughly the same aesthetic taste as people in Norway. We have never experienced a customer telling us that someone they knew has seen them on Photofeeler. I have also tested over 100 photos of myself on Photofeeler and have never experienced that anyone I know has seen me there. The chances of this are therefore extremely small. However, if you do not want to have the photos tested on Photofeeler, just let us know before the photoshoot by emailing chrisblonk.foto@gmail.com.
Why do real people vote on Photofeeler? What do they get for it?
By voting for other people's photos, you get the opportunity to test your own photos for free. However, this process is time-consuming, as you have to vote for many photos to get one vote for your own photo. To make the process go faster, we pay.
How many votes on each image are included in the testing?
20 votes per photo.
